The first hot lap braking exercise set my ABS into motion as I had not anticipated just how much bite there would be up around 100MPH. I'll get some pics soon (gotta clean them wheels ) but I just wanted to post up and thank DBC for an awesome experience.

I was pretty set on what I wanted, but the ordering process was a pleasure (ordered by phone) - it always feels good as an enthusiast when you feel like you are contributing to the success of other enthusiasts with your business. To feel like you are talking to one of your own, if you know what I mean... I got all my questions answered, and we were set and ready to go in a short 5-10 minutes.

I was told to expect about 2 weeks to shipment. No problem there... and they were right on the money. Again, warm and fuzzies when a business knows the ins and outs of its supply chain well enough to give you an accurate estimate the first time.

So the pads arrived first (I decided to go back to the Pagids). Then the rotors a few days later. I am not equipped to do a lot of my own work, so I took the R to the dealer (I know, I know.... but I had the sunroof drain and the coil pack recals to take care of...) to get the recals done and the brakes replaced. They were done in about 3 hours, so I was excited to go get the car.

My wife dropped me off and then she had some errands, so I took the opportunity to locate an unoccupied stretch to bed the brakes.

I AM AMAZED. I had moved to Hawk Ceremic pads to minimize dust, and I had been happy with them. I guess you just get used to things, b/c now I am wondering how I ever stopped the car in allotted distance. The improvement is in.cred.ib.le! I know that the ceremic pads did not suffer all that bad from fade, some but not terrible, but I had apparently forgotten what bite is.

Having the coil pack replaced did return some pep, so I am feeling really good now about having both my stop and my go hittin on all cylinders.

And as I said, I'll get some pics - the slot-slot Adams Rotors really look great on our cars.

we'd love a review on the brake up-grade too!

I am waiting for a few little goodies to come in the mail to be able to start in on the install and performance aspects, but besides the killer looks I can comment on how well the rotor is constructed and perfectly machined. The zinc coating is thick and hasn't any flaws while the black hub section was well masked off and looks very clean. The rotors are directional and were clearly marked. The box weighed a ton and made me laugh when I went to pick it up! I like you guys but the Fed-Ex people hate on AR...

I gotta include how the rear r32 rotor is bigger then the stock fronts on a GTi. I will post up some pictures once I get to that stge in a couple of weeks. Great product and for a custom piece the lead time and price was amazing.

I've been running these for about 20k miles so far. LOVE them.

For the record, I had no complaints about the capabilities of the OEM rotors... the only time I ever experienced fade with them was Big Willow, at the close of a 20 minute session... and they just barely started to feel iffy after hauling down the speed after the main straightaway. Other than that, the OEMs were fine for every track session I've ever done at Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow, etc etc and of course they were perfect for daily use.

But when they were worn to the point of needing replacing, I figured I'd rather have that tiny extra bit of fade resistance that crossdrilled & slotted rotors give. Why not.

Adam's Rotors have been exceptional. Barely any louder than stock, which is nice compared to the Brembos and Zimmermans I run on my other cars. Never experienced any fade with them, and no difference in street use compared to OEM. Exactly what I was hoping for.

I went with crossdrilled & slotted, versus dimpled. Have been running drilled rotors for many years and I'm a firm believer in "more venting the better" for cooling brakes.

I tried them initially with Hawk HPS pads, and I DO NOT recommend those pads for a daily driver! Totally inappropriate for street use. They have no initial bite and take longer to stop in traffic conditions than OEM pads. They only work well once they're warmed up. Great track pad. Bad street pad.

Switched to a new set of OEM Pagid pads... and they are perfectly matched with Adam's Rotors. Very happy with them.

The only complaint I have is the additional weight compared to OEM rotors. If Adam would use OEM two-piece rotors with aluminum hubs to drop unsprung weight, it would be the idea street rotor. Having that thick steel center does add a bit of heaviness to those Centric rotor he uses, in comparison to OEM. But even with that added weight, the rotors are still the best bang for the buck I found.

To sum up: Very happy  No regrets.

I installed my rotors about 8 months ago....and they still look new.

This is a quality product guys. Stopping power has increased significantly over my stock brakes. Especially with some decent pads your car will stop on a dime...once again, great product.

I am amazed with the quality of the rotors, I am very glad I chose Adam, before I came across these I was looking at the AWE slotted they are plain slotted rotors for 500 and I got slotted drilled and black zinc for 425 shipped and I believe that Adams are higher quality. Adam I got my rotors this past Friday just as you promised, thanks so much! They look so nice and I will get a picture of then up tomorrow when I am home. BTW I can attest to Adam's awesome customer service and quick response time. Basically it had been 4 weeks and I still had not received my rotors so I shot Adam a quick email late on a Friday night (maybe around 1 AM) and I had a reply no less than 15 minutes later. After providing Adam some more info I then received another email Sunday or Monday night saying that the Rotors would ship out Weds that week and that I would have them by that Friday and sure enough I did! Great person to do business with and a great product, I was amazed when I saw the front rotors, they are beautiful!

I haven't personally dealt with Adam yet, but have been following his threads for quite some time in anticipation for my B5S4 upgrade. Just from reading all the posts i can say he's probably one of the best people to deal with. He has countless more then satisfied customers, responds to msg's faster then you even realize, and offers a great product that i wouldn't hesitate to put on my car. Just take the time to read through his threads and you will see what i mean.

I would be more then willing to shell out the extra $$$ in order to deal with some one of this caliber.
